How long is the full detail of each transaction maintained? Indefinitely. All transactions from earlier archived years can be inspected at any time.
Do I have to complete the accounts for one year before I start on the next year? No. Users are encouraged to run the year end procedure as soon as the new year commences. After doing so a user can enter transactions for both the new and the old accounting year. The opening balances in the new year can be easily reset as a result of more transactions in the previous year.
Can I continue to reconcile bank statements for a statement that includes transactions covering two accounting years? Yes. Items in a bank statement are ticked off on the same reconciliation screen, no matter which year they’re in.
How long has the ‘Pension Fund Accountant’ software system been in use? Micro-Pension Systems sold the first copy back in 1990. The Windows version was introduced in 1998.
While entering transactions do I need to take my hands off the keyboard to use the mouse? The software is designed for rapid entry of transaction data. So just for the transaction entry part of the system the mouse has little or no function, and the user doesn’t need to constantly switch from the mouse to the keyboard.
Is Pension Fund Accountant 32-bit or 16-bit software? 32-bit.
